Many people think the appraised value of their home by an appraiser and the market value of their home are the same, but they are not. Typically an appraisal is done at the request of the buyer for the lender when a home is being purchased to determine its appraised value. A CMA is done for the seller, by a real estate agent, to help him determine a reasonable selling price.

Many times people try and price their homes themselves, but we have found when this is done, the homes are either priced too high or too low.
