Golden Colorado

Golden Colorado – The Golden Colorado area was first inhabited by the Arapahoe Plains Indians. The white settlers started to arrive in 1858 when David Wall began farming land along the Clear Creek. The Gold rush had already started up along the Clear Creek and the Chicago Creek on the eastern slope of the Rockies just west of David Hall’s farm. At the same time a group of business men from Boston lead by George West arrived and began to lay out the city of Golden. The new community was named Golden City to celebrate the gold rush that financially supported the new businesses that sprung up in Golden City. Coal was discovered and the White Ash and New Loveland mines were soon producing coal just north on Golden. Today the City of Golden is a thriving community located on the flat lands up against the Rocky Mountains where the mountains and the prairie meet.. The Coors Brewing Company is a major employer and a popular tourist attraction. Golden Colorado Real Estate has not thrived as much as other Denver Communities in the past several years. The homes tend to be older and the subdivisions have a 1960’s look to them. However, there are many new homes on Highway 93 going towards Boulder and some high-end properties up in the foothills just west of Golden. We are very familiar with the Golden Market. There are opportunities if You are looking for a new tract home. Many of the builders are offering incentives to buy a new home and we will make sure You benefit from all the discounts available. It is also a good area for buying an older home and fixing it up. The location is Great and the opportunities are many- Call or email us today and we will get You started.
