 Winter then melts into spring.  The whole mountain explodes with green meadows and vibrant wild flowers.  The elk calves stop traffic and the young Buffalo stand close to their mothers who protect them from all the photographers.  The young hawks practice flying while calling back and forth with the parents. The mountains and the forests spring to life as the sun nurtures the hills and nature brings forth her bounty.  Bikers, runners, walkers, artists, fly fishermen and shoppers are everywhere and the Rockies smile warmly on all the new life.

 Many believe that summer in Evergreen Colorado is living at its best.  The days are long and warm with little humidity; the nights are cool and comfortable.  Evergreen is sheltered from the Denver lights and at night you can see every star in heavens canopy. Summer boasts of the mountain music festivals with the symphony on the Lake to celebrate the 4th of July, farmers market at Bergen Village, Arts and Crafts fair, Evergreen Rodeo and lots of tennis and golf.  Summer in the Rockies is a relaxing time when the mountain reaches out its loving rugged arms, embracing Evergreen, and the sounds of the summer nights sing us to sleep.
